Bera, 1973

PETTI is the stage name of Juan Luis Pérez Mitxelena, a rock musician and performer from Bera, Navarre. He has released 13 albums, the last of which (Manipulazio estrategiak – Manipulation strategies) received one of the prizes awarded by Musika Bulegoa in 2021, as best album of the year.

His deep, raspy voice that emerges from the soul; songs rich in nuances, tinged with blues and charged with electricity; his mastery of the guitar, and his powerful stage presence are the qualities that most stand out in Petti, as well as his authenticity and honesty.

His influences include Tom Waits, Jimi Hendrix and Mark Lanegan, and he has shared projects and stages with artists such as Rafa Berrio, Barrence Whitfield and Terry Lee Hale, among others.

On stage, he is backed by an outstanding band, formed by the incendiary Joseba Irazoki on guitar, and the always elegant and precise Telletxea brothers, on bass and drums.
