Sonic Trash
Bilbao-2011
Sonic Trash was formed in 2011 from Ya te digo, a cult band from Bilbao. They have released three albums: Hey Chica! (2012), Látigo (2015), and King Kong Party (2021), all of which have been critically acclaimed. Their latest LP, King Kong Party, was named the best album of the year at the Koxka awards and reached seventh place in the national Ruta66 chart. They have also released three singles, including Tótem (2017) and Gure Nights (2022), both chosen as among the best songs of the year by Radio3.
Recently, they released a SPLIT ALBUM with Víctimas Club, which was recognized as the best EP of 2023 by Zarata MondoSonoro. In 2023, Sonic Trash also received the Koska award for Best Band of the Year. The band is known for its unrestrained style, blending punk, indie rock, noise, and pop, and continues to evolve musically. They also collaborate with artists from various fields, such as Beatriz Sánchez on covers and music videos, and Ismael Iglesias and Jesús Pueyo on visuals.
Their album King Kong Party features the single Kalamity, produced by Rafa Sardina (a renowned producer with 18 Grammys), and the band’s first song in Basque, inspired by an Oxer Wines wine. They also remixed Amnesia with DEU (We Are Standard), accompanied by a video directed by Ismael Iglesias.
